Peace, Kindness & Friendship
About this event
Join us for a fun afternoon of play and connection, hosted by the SECPTA Homeschool Co-op! Our community events will take place every third Thursday from 1:00–2:00 PM and are open to all SECPTA members. It’s a great opportunity for kids and parents to connect, catch up with friends, and build community. It’s also a chance for families who are curious about homeschooling to meet our co-op community and see what we’re all about!
Theme: International Day of Peace
We are kicking off our first community event with an afternoon of activities centered on kindness, cooperation, and friendship in honor of International Day of Peace (which is on September 21):
- Collaborative board games that encourage teamwork and empathy.
- Compliment Hot Potato: A fun, fast-paced circle game where the player holding the potato passes along a kind word to a friend.
- Yarn Web of Compliments: A collaborative activity tossing yarn across the circle to share compliments, creating a visual web of friendship and connection.
- Peace-Themed Coloring Station: A relaxed, creative space for kids to color and unwind. Come ready to play, share some kind words, and connect with fellow SECPTA families!
Registration is encouraged in order for us to have enough supplies for all attendees.
