Bundle up and join us for a morning outside at the West Woods. We will explore toddler and stroller friendly nature paths, an indoor nature center and classroom, and have an opportunity to feed chickadees outdoors. Pack a snack and dress for the weather!

Students will learn about their senses and how we send messages to the brain. With a variety of activities, the students will see, feel, touch, hear (and discuss taste) how our daily sensations work! Instructor Arlene Rosen will lead a class where children question, challenge, examine our world with excitement and hands-on activities…in Future Scientist - OUR GOAL IS TO EXCITE CHILDREN ABOUT SCIENCE IN A NURTURING Environment! Each class, students experiment, analyze, predict…,and make a project emphasizing the topic. Recommended for children ages 3-5. Masks required for all attendees.

Join us in an introductory gymnastics class to celebrate Valentine‘s Day. You may have participated in previous SECPTA field trips with Learning Ladder Gymnastics at Sky Zone or virtually, and now Ms. Jen has her own facility! Kids will spend time learning gymnastics and then do a fun Valentine‘s Day craft. For ages 3 and up. MAX: 8 kids, because of limited space in the facility, only 1 adult may accompany a child.

Join SECPTA Fitness for a Water Aerobics class! Water aerobics is a form of aerobic exercise done with an instructor that focuses on aerobic endurance and resistance training while in waist deep water.

Join us at the Shaker Lakes Nature Center for a private "Sensing the Seasons" program. During this program, a Nature Center Educator will introduce Winter to the group through a short story and then head to the trails to explore using as many senses as possible (usually everything but taste). Simple tools and collecting containers will help us take a closer look at our Winter surroundings. All programs follow Early Learning and Development Standards. **Program will start at 10:15, arrive a little early to start on time.

Join us for a stroller friendly walk on a paved trail through Center Valley Park (E. Idelwood portion) in Twinsburg. Meet up at the playground next to the parking lot on E Idlewood Drive, next to the Idlewood Ballfield. Coffee for moms and water for little ones will be provided before the walk. Bundle up, pack a snack, and stay afterward to play! Acacia Reservation, a 155-acre green space oasis, is located in the City of Lyndhurst. The west branch of Euclid Creek flows northwest through Acacia Reservation to join the main creek branch in Euclid Creek Reservation. A 1.7-mile paved loop trail is located in the Reservation.

Let‘s spend the morning decorating cupcakes! Cupcake Castle is a castle-themed cupcake shop that features over 100 flavors of gourmet cupcakes. Kids will have fun decorating three cupcakes with an unlimited supply of sprinkles and colored icing in the Candy Land-themed party room. While the young cake decorators are hard at work, adults can enjoy a coffee or Cupshake, which turns a cupcake of any flavor into a delectable milkshake, in the cafe. Cupcake Castle makes a variety of other desserts that will be available for purchase including cake pops, buckeyes, truffles, chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels, cookies, brownies, and hot cocoa bombs. This event is too sweet to miss! MAX: 15-18 kids, 30 people total.

Let‘s splash away those winter blues at the RAC Indoor Pool and Splash Pad! Bring the family for an afternoon of swimming, splashing, and fun! Pool toys, life jackets, puddle jumpers, and floats are encouraged as there will not be a lifegaurd on duty. The Splash Pad is full of fun< activities for the kids, but the floor can be very slippery, so please bring a good pair of water shoes for your kids to run around in. We will also have access to the party room just outside of the main pool area where you will be able to leave your belongings. This is a private event just for SECPTA members and we hope you will join us for this fun splash bash! (Event is limited to 30 people including observers, non-swimmers, and babies, so please register all who will be in attendance.)
